Loss James West, of Saint Charles, MO, passed away Friday, November 13, 2020 at the age of 91. Beloved husband of the late Rose Marie West; cherished son of the late Claude and Elsie West; devoted father of Teresa (Tim) Wright, Arlene (Tony) Mills, Darlene (Jeff) Kotyk, and Mary West; loving grandfather of Sarah (Mark) Pfister, Leah (Josh) Feeler, Stefan Wright, Rebekah Kotyk, Samuel (Stella) Mills, Deborah Kotyk, Jessica Kotyk, and Anne Mills; treasured great-grandfather of Evangeline, Eleanor, Autumn, Juniper, and Judah; dear brother of the late Robert West, the late Mae Peacock, Eunice Thompson, and Fern Meiser.

Loss proudly and honorably served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. He also made the Honor Guard. Loss was a retired letter carrier with the Post Office. He was a big Cardinals fan and enjoyed attending games with his family. Loss was a devout member of Highland View Baptist Church. He was very handy and hard-working, he enjoyed woodworking, fixing things and working out in the yard. Loss loved traveling and was very adventurous. He walked for many years as Abraham Lincoln in the 4th of July Parade in St. Charles. Loss enjoyed politics and was up to date with current events.

Memorials may be made in Loss's name to Wounded Warriors.
