Waite, Louis E. of Saint Charles, MO, died on Thursday, May 14, 2015, at the age of 89. Loving husband of Frances Clara Waite; beloved son of the late Clarence Earl and Bessie Ruth Waite; devoted father of Yvonne B. Waite and partner Patrick Georgen, Louis E. Waite, Jr., Duane D. (Julie) Waite, the late Dr. John T. (Lori) Waite; cherished grandfather of seven; treasured great-grandfather of two. He is preceded in death by three brothers, Donald, Elvin and Robert Waite, and his sister, Doris M. Leininger.
Louis proudly served his country in the United States Army during WWII, and was a Purple Heart recipient from the Battle of Bastogne in Europe. He was a member of Masonic Lodge No. 514 in Greenwood, Indiana and a Murat Shriner in Indianapolis, Indiana. Louis was co-founder of CPC of Chesterfield, Missouri and was on the board of directors from 1973 until retirement in 1995 as Vice President and Treasurer. He was also on the Safety Board of Directors of Private Carriers Conference for over 20 years and sang in the chorus at the Scottish Rite Cathedral in Indianapolis for 10 years. Louis also enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
