Louis G. Kranung III

November 2, 1952 — March 28, 2019

Louis G. Kranung III of St. Charles, Missouri, passed away on Thursday, March 28, 2019 at the age of 66. He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis G. Kranung II and Anneliese M. Kranung-Stecher; sister, Marlene (the late Jeffrey) Collins; and granddaughter, Kayla Ann Smith.

Louis leaves behind his beloved wife, Deborah Kranung; two children, Rachel (Trevor) Smith and Louis Kranung IV; and his grandson, Louis G. Kranung V.

Louis proudly served his country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the American Legion Post 444 in Florissant and served as the Commander of the VFW Post 2365 in Jennings. Louis was a fisherman at heart and loved to baby his favorite car, a Dodge Charger. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, and grandfather, and will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him.
