Louis J. Fennewald

Louis J. Fennewald, of Hazelwood, MO, passed away Monday, July 26, 2021, at the age of 96.

Louis and his twin brother, Lawrence, were born April 9, 1925 in Rush Hill, MO.

Louis and Wanda Fair were married June 28^th, 1952. He was the loving father of Steven (Lisa) of Tiverton, Rhode Island, grandfather of Daniel (Anitra), Joseph (Lauren), and Michelle, Great-grandfather of two.

Mr. Fennewald was raised in Martinsburg, Missouri. He and his brother spent the winter evenings ice skating. In the summer he was the catcher and Lawrence, the pitcher, for the Martinsburg Giants baseball team. He continued his ice skating into his 70’s.

Louis was a Disabled American Veteran having served three years in the Navy in the South Pacific during WWII. Louis and Wanda enjoyed traveling all fifty states. And they spent most summer evenings watching the St. Louis Cardinals baseball games.

He was preceded in death by his parents Lawrence and Rose (Barron) Fennewald his sisters Trudy Dubach Podborny, Eleanor Sherman Burgio and his brother, Lawrence.
