Loveda B. Bailey

Loveda Bailey age 98 of St. John, Missouri and former resident of Mt. Vernon, Illinois, died June 21, 2012 at her son's home in Troy, Missouri. She was an employee of the Mt. Vernon Garmet Factory while in Mt. Vernon. In 1952 she moved to Marietta, Georgia and worked there as an employee of Sears Roebuck & Company for 20 years. Born February 12, 1914 in Jefferson County, she was the daughter of Harry and Julia (nee Pearce) Drennan. She married Cecil Bailey September 5, 1936 in Nashville, Illinois. He preceded her in death on February 17, 1995. Visitation will be held on June 23 at Baue Funeral Home, 3950 West Clay, St. Charles, Missouri from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. followed by a service at Trinity Free Will Baptist Church, 12143 Old Saint Charles Road, Bridgeton, Missouri. Pastor Dale Cochran and Brother Lynn Davenport will officiate. Burial will be in Kirk Cemetery, Ina, Illinois Loveda is the loving wife of the late Cecil E. Bailey; beloved daughter of the late Harry and Julia Drennan; devoted mother of Kenneth E. (Susan) Bailey; cherished grandmother of Shane Bailey, Kevin A. Bailey and Tara M. Bailey; treasured great-grandmother of Conner, Jordyn, Melanie and Kaitlyn; beloved aunt of Dennis (Deana) Hale and Vada (Bud) Flavin. She is preceded in death by her brother, Glen M. Drennan; her sister, Hazel L. Hale; and grandson, Kenneth Scott Bailey.
