Loyal Melvin Lambert, of O'Fallon, MO, passed away Friday, March 24, 2023 at the age of 87. Loving husband of the late Faye Lambert; beloved son of the late Melvin S. and Stella M. Lambert; devoted father of Dennis (Betty) Lambert, Daniel (Marcia) Lambert, Dawn (Timothy) Lambert-LeCroy, Dara (Keith) Bickel, Dyan (Paul) McCulloch, and the late Donald Lambert; loving grandfather of 17 grandchildren as well as 17 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
Loyal is preceded in death by his brothers and sisters.
Loyal was a man of strong faith and lifelong member of First Baptist Church of O'Fallon, Missouri. He devoted much of his time to his church family and the JOY group. Loyal was always generous and giving of his time. He welcomed everyone without judgement and was known for his warm heart and smile. Loyal worked as an inspector for McDonnell-Douglas, where he was employed for 36 years. He loved tinkering especially on lawnmowers, weed eaters or anything with a gas motor. Loyal was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Memorials may be made in Loyal's name to American Heart Association.
