Lt. Col. Karl E. Phillips

PHILLIPS, Karl E. Lt. Col. (Ret), O'Fallon, MO, October 18, 2003 age 87; Dear Husband of Georgia Mae Phillips, Father of Jaine S. Martin, Jean P. Wilkinson (Don), and Karla Edmondson (Tom), Grandfather of Grant and Rachael Wilkinson. Mr. Phillips served in the U.S. Army for 23 years, taught at McCluer High School for 19 years, and owned Karl’s Klocks at Village Square for 20 years. Mr. Phillips held public office as a Councilman for the City of Bridgeton for 6 years. Offices held in organizations were President of Retired Officers Association, Commander of the Military Order of World Wars, Board Member of the U.S.O. at Lambert Field, and President of St. Louis Chap. #22 Sojourners. Academic achievements consisted of Masters Degree in Education from Washington University, member of Phi Kappa Phi and Mensa International. Memorials to U.S.O. at Lambert International Airport preferred.
