Dr. Lucian “Lou” Hodapp, Jr.

Hodapp, Jr., Dr. Lucian 'Lou', of St. Charles, MO, died on Wednesday, April 1, 2015, at the age of 83. Loving husband of the late Joyce Opal Hodapp; beloved son of the late Lucian and Myrtle Hodapp, Sr.; devoted father of Kenneth (Lisa) Hodapp, David Hodapp, Sandra (Troy) Vance, Richard (Mary) Hodapp; cherished grandfather of Derrick and Garrett Hodapp, Austin Hohenshell, Mandy (Justin) Hill, Ashley (Bob) Boedges, and Colton, Jake, and Haley Vance; treasured great-grandfather of Rilya, Ethan, Matthew, Liam, Jackson, and Gavin; dear brother of Joyce Story; dear uncle of Steve, Jeff, Kathy, Roy and Laurie; dear brother-in-law of Gail Gonnella and Carrol (Jerry) White; also survived by many other relatives, friends, Pastor Ron Tucker, and the family of Grace Church St. Louis. He is preceded in death by his brothers-in-law Jerry Story and Jim Gonnella, and niece Sharon Nipper.
Lou proudly served his country in the United States Air Force as a dentist at Keesler Air Force base in Mississippi. Lou attended Christian Brothers College (CBC) High School then earned his dental degree at St. Louis University. Dr. Hodapp first worked with his dad at his dental practice in Pine Lawn, he opened his own practice in North West Plaza after his father Dr. Hodapp, Sr. retired.
Lou enjoyed traveling and SCUBA diving with his wife Joyce, writing and speaking on spiritual matters, his dogs and music, but most of all he loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. He will be missed by all who know and loved him.
