Lucille Fritz-Smith of St. Peters, died September 7, 2015 at home. She was born August 13, 1924 to John and Phillipena Meier in Plain, Wisconsin. Mrs. Fritz-Smith was a retired cosmetologist. She also served as President of the K.C. Auxiliary of Monroe, Wisconsin, and held posts as chairman of Moosehart, Moosehaven, and Academy of Friendship of the Women of the Moose of Monroe.
After moving to St. Peters, Lucille started Our Lady’s Rosary Makers of All Saints Parish, whose rosaries have gone to missions and churches all over the world. She was also an active member of the Adult Faith Committee of All Saints.
Lucille married Loren Fritz in 1943 in Camp Siebert, Alabama. He died on January 5, 1991. On September of 1994 Lucille married Warren Smith of Rockford, Iowa. He died on April 16, 2003. Lucille is survived by her children, Terry (Debbie) Fritz, James (Wendy) Fritz, William (Rose Anne) Fritz, Jay (Cheryl) Fritz, Cheryl (Ted) Lupino, Jody (Bruce) Hensley; her step-children, Darwin (Mary) Smith, Kevin (Kathy) Smith, Brian (Lori) Smith, and Jean (Duane) Forbes; her sister Lorna Sutterfield; and eighteen Grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Helen Cork.
The family is being served by the Baue Funeral and Memorial Center, 3950 West Clay Street, St. Charles, MO. Funeral Service Friday, September 11, 2015, 10:00 am All Saints Catholic Church. Interment Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery. Memorials may be made in Masses or to Our Lady’s Rosary Makers of All Saints Parish.
