Lucille Spillie Spillman

In lieu of flowers, donations to Shriners Hospital for Crippled Children will be appreciated. SPILLMAN, Lucille “Spillie”, passed away March 14, 2005 at the age of 98. She was the daughter of the late John “Pete” and Nannie Spillman. She leaves her cousins, Norma Kilbane and Lori Huntsman families of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio and her Aunts Opal Pearce and Marie Marshal families of Belleville, Illinois. Long time friend of the late Agnes J. “Jim” Pilger and special friend to many. Her teaching career began in 1929 in the St. Louis Public Schools. She taught Physical Education, Swimming and First Aid at Franklin Intermediate, Hadley Vocation, Beaumont High School and Harris Teachers College, now Harris Stowe State College. From 1969 until her retirement in 1973 she served as Chairman of the Physical Education Department of Harris Teachers College.
