Luke Barnes, of Saint Charles, MO, passed away Tuesday, November 3, 2020 at the age of 60. Cherished son of the late Luther “Luke” and Esther Barnes; devoted father of Ryan Steele, and Brandy (Tuesday) Fisher; loving grandfather of Samara; dear brother of Juanita Moore, J.C. (Kim) Barnes, Lorraine (The late Harry) Fauntleroy, Lillion Barnes, Luther (Lula) Barnes, Antonio Barnes, James Hinton, Kelly Strickland, Marcelle Herring. Luke is also survived by mother of his son, Rauchel Steele and grandmother of his son, Phyllis Callaway, many nieces, nephews, cousins and host of extended family.
Luke proudly and honorably served in the United States Army. He was a member of Aerospace Local Lodge 837 and worked for Boeing for over 30 years. Luke and Ryan enjoyed dinner together every night and movie nights on Saturday. Spending time with his family was very important, Luke traveled to see his family all around the country, and would travel to his hometown, Wilson, NC for major holidays and his mother’s birthday. His twin brother and he loved each other very much and were nearly inseparable. Luke had a very big heart; he was helpful to so many and he was blessed with the ability to help so many others and in return be blessed. Luke was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
