Lydia S. Elking

Lydia Samantha Elking of St. Charles, MO entered into eternal rest on February 18, 2023. 

Born May 8, 2007 to Kerry Keeven and Mark Elking, Lydia was the youngest of five children as well as the youngest of sixteen grandchildren on her mother's side. 

Despite being the baby of the family, Lydia constantly surprised us with her fierce independence and eagerness to see what the world had to offer. Her smile lit up every room, and her heart carried a fire big enough to warm us all. We will remember her as a girl who loved life, as free-spirited and brave, bright beyond her years and deeply devoted to her loved ones. 

Lydia has joined into eternal peace with her grandmother Alma and other close relatives. 

On earth she leaves behind a litany of relatives: her mother Kerry; father Mark, Julie; siblings Audrey, Dani, Jack, and Luke; grandfather Frank Keeven; grandparents Edward and Patricia Elking; and many uncles, aunts, and cousins. She was also deeply loved by her many, many friends: those she made as a student at Immaculate Conception of Dardenne and Liberty High School, and all her soccer teammates. 

Lydia was deeply loved from the moment she entered this world, and she was deeply loved when she exited it. Lydia was perfect, and the impact she had cannot be captured in a few sentences, but we will always treasure each and every second we had with her. 

Memorial contributions may be made in Lydia's name to St. Louis Scott Gallagher Soccer Club or Immaculate Conception of Dardenne Catholic School for Tuition Assistance.
