M. Allen Downs, Jr

Downs, M. Allen of Saint Charles, Missouri, passed away on Thursday July 19, 2018, at the age of 61. Beloved husband of 26 years to Cindy Downs; cherished son of the late Merl A. and Dora E. (Betty) Downs; devoted father of Brian (Kristen) Downs, Brad Downs, and Brandon Downs; loving grandfather of Beckett and Sutton; dear brother of Bill (Donna) Downs, Vickey (David) Dooley, and Debbie (Robert) Simmons; treasured by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Allen was preceded in death by his brother Chuck Guthery.
Allen was a member of the Holy Cross Lutheran Church. He worked for Ameren for 30 years. Allen loved deer and turkey hunting. He was a WWII Military history enthusiast. Allen climbed 40 of the 50 states Highest Points, and he enjoyed watching St. Louis Cardinals Baseball and St. Louis Blues Hockey. Most importantly Allen loved spending time with his family and being a grandpa was his greatest joy.
Memorials may be made in Allen’s honor to the Greater St. Louis Honor Flights.
