Mae Fern Malone

Mae Fern Malone, of O’Fallon, MO passed away peacefully at the Meadowlands Assisted Living in O’Fallon, MO at the age of 93.  She received Last Rites at St. Joseph West Hospital.  Loving wife of the late Joe N. Malone; beloved daughter of the late August and Mamie Young; devoted mother of Dennis (the late Carol) Malone and Donald Malone; cherished grandmother of Michael (Chris) Malone, Sean (D.W.) Malone, Kelly (Cary) Eldredge, and John (Vickie) Malone; treasured great-grandmother of Cale, Carter, Brendan, Alex, and Rylan; and dear aunt, cousin, and friend to many.

Mae is preceded in death by her siblings, August Young, Marcella Kaminski, Marie Phares, Lois Mulligan, Eleanor Froelich, and Ida Eubanks.

Mae proudly served in the United States Navy during World War II.  She retired from the U.S. Postal Service after more than 20 years as a Data Clerk.  She was a long-time member of the Gateway WAVES (Women Accepted for Volunteer Service) of St. Louis.  She enjoyed gardening flowers and walking her dog.  Mae also enjoyed traveling and going on family vacations.  She was dearly loved, and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
