Marc Gerald Davis of St. Charles, MO (born June 11, 1989) passed away Monday, January 17 at the age of 32. Beloved son and brother, Marc is survived by his parents, Donald L. Davis and Cheri Kay (Bennett) Davis; dear twin brother, Paul Davis; big sister, Rachel Davis and her husband, Joshua Potter and niece Eleanor and nephew Beckett Potter; Great Aunt Betty Miller; Uncle Jay Davis; Aunt Cindi (Bennett) and Uncle Tony Watts; Marc is preceded in death by his loving grandparents: Gerald and Kay Bennett; Dwayne and Betty Brown; and James Davis; and cousin, Cory Bennett.
Marc was charming, kind, and brave before everything. His warm and quick-witted character was cherished in the Davis family, a close group that loves laughter, storytelling, superhero movies, and unconventional discussions. Marc was drawn to big ideas, adventure, and deep questions, and he was often seen with a science, philosophy, or Noam Chomsky book under his arm. He was a conversationalist, keenly interested in other people and ready to connect with and understand them. Marc's dreams were big and boundless.
There is no greater testament to Marc's goodness than the unyielding support given him by his parents. Marc fought his demons as long as he possibly could, as Cheri and Don were there to remind Marc that he was loved and that he belonged. To see them care for their son was to know that he was a beautiful and unique person. Together with the love of his brother and sister, especially that of his best friend and twin, Paul, he carries these gifts into a peaceful rest. We will miss him every day and look forward to the day we are together again.
Memorials may be made in his name to either NAMI, 1810 Craig Road #124, St. Louis, MO 63146 or The Trevor Project, P.O. Box 69232, West Hollywood, CA 90069.
