Mattie, Marcella Genevieve (NÉE: Saale), of St. Charles, Missouri, died on Friday, September 2, 2011 at the age of 89. Loving wife of the late Leonard Joseph Mattie; beloved daughter of the late Frank and Bertilda Saale; devoted mother of Barbara (Charlie) Watts, Virginia (Frank) Kopfinger, Margie Story, Marcia (Butch) Kelley, Kathy (Mike) Templer, Lori (Paul) Hester, Jeff (Susan) Mattie; dear sister of Maurice Saale, Francis Saale, Celsus Saale, Lambert Saale, Alberta Potter, Rosalie Schneider, and Imelda Bacon; cherished grandmother of 15; and treasured great-grandmother of 11. She is preceded in death by her granddaughter, Renee Kopfinger Lynch; son-in-law, Frank Kopfinger; and brothers, Cyril Saale and Hubert Saale. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
