Marcella "Marcy" Ann Ord

Marcella “Marcy” Ann Ord (nee Hoffman), of Saint Charles, MO, passed away Monday, November 25, 2024, at the age of 77. Loving wife of 47 years to Gordon Lee Ord; beloved daughter of the late Roy and Margaret Hoffman; devoted mother of Aimee (Curtis) Carlson, Susan (Dan) Dolezal, and Joseph (Meghen) Ord; cherished grandmother of Cyle Carlson, Casey Carlson, Nicholas Darrah, Gordon Dolezal (Marcy's Organ Donor), Josh Ord, Andrew Ord, Tyler Dolezal, Heather Dolezal, Jennifer Ord, Allyson Ord, Zachary Ord, Anna Ord, and Teaghen Schriefer; dear sister of Mary Kay Swanstrom and Mardi Ann Kuhl; treasured great-grandmother of 28; aunt, great aunt, cousin and friend. Marcy is also preceded in death by her son, James Ord and brother, John Roger Hoffman. 

Marcy attended the University of Minnesota, Duluth, graduating in 1969. She had a long and successful career in social work following her graduation, which included work through the American Red Cross in Kansas at Fort Riley and the State of Iowa. She was an active member of the Dodge House Council and a dedicated volunteer at Queen of Apostles. Marcy found joy in boating, traveling, and spending quality time with her family, always supporting her children and grandchildren. She appreciated a good meal shared in the company of others, enjoyed reading, and cherished the years she spent living near Phoenix. Marcy was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
