Margaret A. Schaefer

Margaret "Mert" A. Schaefer, age 78, of St. Charles, Missouri, Fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church on Thursday, August 7, 2014 after a courageous battle with breast cancer. Loving wife of the late Francis "Frank" Schaefer; dear daughter of the late Theodore and Agnes Lammert; beloved sister of Elizabeth "Liz" Lester, Doris McDonnell, Edward Lammert, and Mary Carol (Joe) Piazza; dear sister-in-law of Dorothy Seiter; and loving aunt, cousin, and friend to many. She is preceded in death by her brother Theodore "Ted" Lammert, and brother-in-laws Ernest Lester, George McDonnell, and Bud Seiter.
Margaret was an accounting statistical assistant for many years before she retired. She was a devoted member of St. Charles Borromeo Church and a member of the St. Charles Borromeo Choir for 17 years. She was also a member of the Ferguson Lion Club and International Juvenile Officers Association Women's Auxiliary. Margaret enjoyed eating at Lady Di's Diner in St. Charles as often as she could. She was deeply loved and will be missed by all who knew her.
