Margaret Ann “Peggy” Simek

Margaret Ann “Peggy” Simek (nee DeCrescenzo) of St. Peters, Missouri, passed Saturday, April 14, 2018, at the age of 75. Beloved wife of the late Edward Simek for 53 years; devoted mother of Sharon (Jim) Collins, Stacey (Brian) Simek-Dreher, and Cory (Gabriela) Simek; loving grandmother of Jimmy (Kristen), Eddie (Abby), Jillian (Mike), Matthew (Allison), Paige, Chelsea, Max, Maya, Nico, Gabby, and Isa; treasured Gigi of Anna, Jay, Jaxsen, Liam, Quinn, Haley, Alexis, Derek, and Peyton; sister of John Mazzuchelli and dear sister-in-law of Helene Mazzuchelli. Margaret is preceded in death by her parents, her son Edward Simek, grandchildren Cassie and Devon Collins, and beloved brother Mark Mazzuchelli.

Margaret was born in Jersey City, NJ before eventually settling in St. Peters, MO. Above anything else, she loved caring for her family and will be remembered as the glue that held the family together. In her spare moments she enjoyed soaking in a quiet moment either reading or tending to her gardens. She also loved cooking delicious meals and traveling far and wide. Margaret was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
