Margaret Jane Merlone

Margaret Jane Merlone, 78, of Saint Charles Missouri passed away peacefully on May 18th, 2018. The visitation will be held at Baue Funeral Home, 311 Wood Street, O’Fallon, Missouri 63366, on Thursday, May 24th from 4:00 – 8:00 PM. According to Margaret’s final wishes she will be cremated.

Margaret was born in Saginaw, Michigan to Merle Joseph Ecarius and Angelyn Cecilia Ecarius. Margaret attended Saint Mary’s High school and earned a Bachelor of Nursing degree from Saint Mary’s College in O’Fallon Missouri. Margaret went on to have a career in nursing providing care to mothers and babies. She enjoyed books, jigsaw puzzles, traveling and spending time with her family. Margaret is survived by one daughter and three sons, Sherry Soja-Molloy of Taylor, MI; Leo and Paula Merlone of Overland, Missouri; Matthew and Melanie Merlone of Saint Charles, Missouri; and Joseph Merlone and Jennifer Silverberg of Saint Louis, Missouri; and her granddaughter Cecilia, daughter of Matthew and Melanie Merlone. She is also survived by her sisters, MaryAnn Smith and Merla O’Donnell (Pat); and brothers, Thomas Ecarius (Ann), Christopher Ecarius (Nancy), and Jim Ecarius.

Margaret was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Michael Ecarius (Marlene).
