Margaret Lecrone

Margaret “Margie” Jane Lecrone (nee Nichols), of Saint Charles, MO, passed away Monday, December 30, 2024 at the age of 74. Cherished daughter of the late John and Beulah “Jane” Nichols; devoted mother of Wendy Marie (Jeffery "Jeff") Bornefeld and the late Melissa Ann Lecrone; loving grandmother of Andrew (Cara) Lecrone, Nicole Lecrone, Sydney Bornefeld, Zach (Savannah) Stoehner, Brooksie (David) Volkmann, Austin Volkmann and Riley Bornefeld; treasured great-grandmother of eight; dear sister of Jimmie (Neva) Nichols, Roy (Janine) Nichols, Charlie (the late Paula) Nichols, John (Roxanne) Nichols, the late Terri Lynn Nichols and the late Gerald Paul Nichols; loving aunt to many nieces and nephews; dedicated cousin and friend to many. 

Margie’s passion for reading was matched only by her talent for crochet, a craft she lovingly passed down to her youngest granddaughter. Her hands created cherished pieces that will be treasured by her family for generations. An avid baker and talented cook, Margie found joy in feeding her loved ones, leaving behind a legacy of favorite recipes that will keep her memory alive at every family gathering. 

She cherished the outdoors, often finding peace while camping and tending to her garden. Margie had a remarkable green thumb, bringing life and beauty to every plant she nurtured. Her hardworking nature shone in her 25+ year career at Advanced Auto Parts, where she not only excelled but also enjoyed her work and the relationships she built there. 

Margie's greatest pride was her family, whom she supported with unwavering love and dedication. Her warmth, creativity, and nurturing spirit will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. 

She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by her family, friends, and all who were fortunate to share in her life.
