Margaret "Maggie" Ann McAteer

Margaret Ann "Maggie" McAteer (nee Ellis), of Troy, MO, passed away Sunday, October 9, 2022, at the age of 89. Beloved wife of the late Daniel John "Jack" McAteer; cherished daughter of the late William and Beatrice Ellis. Devoted mother of Daniel (Mary) McAteer, Patricia (Tony) Eichenlaub, Colleen (David) Alley, Maureen (Matthew) Banocy, Regina (Craig) Conger, Michael (Shari) McAteer, Timothy (Lisa) McAteer, and the late Margaret Ann McAteer; loving grandmother of 20; treasured great grandmother of 17; cherished aunt to Tommy Ellis, Shelly Ellis, and many more. Preceded in death by brothers, Charles, Roy, and Lynn Ellis. 

Margaret is a retired, Registered Nurse who worked at Christian Northeast Hospital with over 20 years of dedicated service. Margaret loved traveling to many places. She has traveled all over the world, and especially loved Egypt and Hawaii. Margaret loved to crochet and playing board games. More than anything, she loved her family. Margaret was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. 

Memorials may be made in Margaret's name to St. Jude’s Research Hospital, the BackStoppers, or Gary Sinise Foundation.
