Margaret "Marge” Lee Lammert (nee Schneider), of St. Charles, Missouri, passed away Sunday, October 17, 2021, at the age of 96. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles W. Lammert; her parents, Gregory and Lucy Schneider; her sister, Mary “Mae” (Isidore) Ochs, brothers, Maurice (Marie) and Harold (Theresa) Schneider; and grandson, Christopher Lammert. Margaret is survived by her children, Charles "Chuck" (Cathi) Lammert, Mark (Mark Kalk) Lammert, Mary (the late Joe) Hittler, Gregory (Jamie) Lammert, of Bell Buckle, TN, Martha Lammert, and Sarah (Brad) Clare of Rochester, IL; her 15 grandchildren and her 25 great-grandchildren.
Margaret was a devout Catholic and a long-time parishioner of St. Peter Catholic Church in St. Charles, MO. Her’s was a life of simple joys, kindness to others, and devotion to her husband, Charlie, her family, and above all, her Lord. No stranger to adversity, she and Charlie believed in self-sacrifice, responsibility, the value of education, and service to others. Margaret had a quiet strength and dignity and a loving heart that was constant. She was caring, thoughtful, and wise.
Gardening, crafts, painting, and cooking for family and guests were her favorite past times. She enjoyed nothing more than to have a group of friends, old and new, or family stop by so she could serve wonderful meals and beverages. Marge was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
