Margaret Ellen Sturgess

Margaret Ellen “Peggy” Sturgess (nee Wahby), of Saint Charles, MO, passed away Thursday, August 29, 2024, at the age of 81. Cherished daughter of the late Lawrence Vincent and Blanche Margaret Wahby; devoted mother of Mark D. Rice and the late Robert C. Rice; loving grandmother of Morgan (Steven) Mareschal, Emily Rice, Breanna (Tanner) Ritchey, and Carly Rice; treasured great grandmother of 4.

Peggy always dreamed of being a grandmother, and she cherished the close bond she shared with her grandchildren, fostering their creativity with her fun-loving spirit. She found joy in the outdoors, bowling, hosting parties, and teaching her grandchildren how to cook and sew. Known for her good sense of humor, she loved to laugh and appreciated a good joke. Peggy was extremely kind to her family and kept in close contact with family across the country, she always welcomed them into her home when they visited. She enjoyed traveling but also simply sitting on her back patio with an occasional beer, watching storms roll through. She was deeply passionate about her work and the patients in the doctor's office. Peggy appreciated the simple things in life and was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
