Margaretha “Maggie” Brueggeman (nee: Dingena), 94, died peacefully at her home at The Meadowlands in O’Fallon, Missouri on Saturday, October 23, 2021.
Maggie was born in Maastricht, Holland. She came to the United States with her husband, Olin Brueggeman in 1945. They were blessed with 48 years of marriage before he preceded her in death on January 22, 1994.
Maggie was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and a trusted friend to many. She enjoyed playing cards and bingo; she was known for her feisty and competitive flare. A long-time member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church in O’Fallon, Missouri, Maggie served as a Ladies Guild and Altar Guild volunteer.
She is survived by her son Robert (Judy) Brueggeman of O’Fallon, MO and daughter Annette (Jeffrey) Carl of Winfield, MO. Four grandsons, Gregory (Nicole) Brueggeman of O’Fallon, MO; Patrick Brueggeman of Chesterfield, MO; Scott (Mandy) Carl of Winfield, MO; Philip (Lane) Carl of Moscow Mills, MO and three great-grandchildren: Ben Brueggeman of Chesterfield, MO, Evan Brueggeman of Chesterfield, MO; and Harper Ann Carl of Winfield, MO; and several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents and several brothers and sisters.
