Maria R. Jozwiak

Maria Jozwiak (nee Dzierzawski) of St. Peters, Missouri, passed away on Friday, October 20, 2023, at the age of 76. She was the beloved wife of the late Eugene M. Jozwiak, Jr., and the cherished daughter of the late Jan and Julia Dzierzawski. Maria's legacy lives on through her devoted children, Gene "Geno" (Leslie), Lana, and Mitchel (Dawn), and she will be fondly remembered as the proud godmother to James Jozwiak and the loving grandmother of Addison, Ashley, and Jackie.

Born in Belgium, Maria embarked on a life journey that led her to Canada in her early childhood and eventually to the city of Chicago where she spent her formative years. It was in Chicago that she crossed paths with her soulmate,  Eugene "Gene" and together they built a life filled with love and commitment. They later established their roots in St. Peters, Missouri, where they raised their family.

Maria's adventurous spirit was evident in her love for exploration and her cherished trips back to Chicago, a place that held a special place in her heart. Her enthusiasm for life extended to her passion for Bingo, a game that brought her joy and many cherished memories. She was known for her magnetic personality and her ability to brighten the lives of those around her. Maria will be deeply missed by her close-knit group of friends with whom she shared countless meaningful moments.

Her unwavering love and dedication to her family and friends will forever be remembered, and her kindness and warmth will continue to inspire all those who were fortunate enough to have known her. May her gentle soul rest in eternal peace.

Memorials may be made in Maria's name to Alzheimer's Association.

A private service will be held at a later date.
