Barklage, Marian Louise (nee: Diekamp) of St. Charles, MO, died on Monday, August 14, 2017, at the age of 84. Loving wife of Robert Barklage, Jr.; beloved daughter of the late Alfred and Esther Diekamp; devoted mother of Rebecca Harms, Katherine (James) Clark, and Gary (Lynn) Barklage; cherished grandmother of Erin (Benjamin) Diani-O'Day, Kara (Robert) Cornejo, Brandon (Brittany) Barklage, Lisa (Andrew) Gnade, Jaclyn (Matthew) Haake, Andrea Barklage, Courtney (Patrick) Northrip, Timothy (Demi) Miller, and Leah Miller; treasured great-grandmother of Twelve; dear sister of Marguerite Hackman and Robert Diekamp. She is preceded in death by her sister Mildred Hemsath.
Marian enjoyed spending her time volunteering as church secretary, kitchen director, and Sunday school teacher. She was the church organist for Zion Lutheran Church for 20 plus years. Mostly, Marian enjoyed being with her family and friends, she will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Memorials may be made to Zion Lutheran Endowment Fund.
