Marian Schwendemann of Saint Charles, MO, passed away Saturday, September 18, 2021 at the age of 76. She was preceded in death by her husband of 37 years, Ronald Schwendemann; her grandson, Zachary Robert Hooper; and her parents, Arthur and Nelrose Dachroeden.
Marian is survived by her children, Robert (caretaker Lisa Crawford) Schwendemann and Gina Hooper; her grandchildren, Benjamin Hooper and Julia Hooper; her sisters, Christine (John) Denney and Patricia Lewandowski; and she was an aunt, great-aunt, great-great-aunt, cousin, sister-in-law, and friend to many.
Marian was a graduate of St. Charles High School Class of 1963. She enjoyed camping trips with Ronald and the memories they made together. Marian was a terrific cook who grew a beautiful garden. There was a loving place in her heart for individuals with special needs and she would selflessly volunteer her time as a coach/support staff for the Special Olympics and at the Mother’s Club at the Missouri School for the Blind.
She truly had a kind, compassionate heart and would do anything for others and even strangers. Whenever the Christmas season came around, Marian was sure to donate boxes upon boxes of goods to the missionaries. Above everything, Marian treasured her family and the time they spent together over the years. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Memorials may be made in Marian's name to the American Heart Association.
