Our dear aunt, great-aunt, great-great aunt, and friend.
Lifelong quilter, Cardinals fan, devout member of St. Ann’s Parish (Normandy), devoted to the Pink Sisters and Carmelite Monastery, honorary alum of Incarnate Word Academy, dedicated volunteer at Mother of Good Counsel Home, Lifelong Muny fan, faithful servant of the Blessed Virgin Mary and Our Lady of Perpetual Help.
Marie was the storyteller, the historian, the keeper of our family knowledge. Born during World War I, she was witness to countless historical events and even though she grew up in a world where women were not given the opportunities that men were, she found her strength in her family. Her strength and wisdom have always been an example of what is truly important in life. “There is what you plan and then there is what happens. The difference is always God’s hand acting on your behalf.”
