Marie M. Loyd

Marie M. Loyd (nee Kluesner), of Saint Charles, MO, passed away Wednesday, November 18, 2020 at the age of 100. Loving wife of the late Cletus Loyd; beloved daughter of the late Francis and Frances Kluesner; devoted mother of Diane (Charles) DeMoulin, Alan (Mary Lou) Loyd, and Cheryl (Butch) Patton; cherished grandmother of Charles (Debra) DeMoulin, Jr., Douglas Loyd, Christa Loyd, Michael (Tricia) Patton, Melinda (Charles) Crews, and Nicholas (Ashley) Patton; treasured great-grandmother of Aidan Loyd, Josie Zurweller, Hali Patton, Cody Patton, Mekenzie Patton, Connor Crews, Logan Crews, and Audrey Patton. Marie is also preceded in death by her grandsons, Timothy DeMaulin and Jeffrey Loyd; her sisters, Eleanor Wipson, Elsie Loyd, Rose Hiatte, Lillian Logan; and her brothers, Virgil Kluesner, Edward Kluesner, and Robert Kluesner.

Marie was a devout woman of strong faith, who was longtime parishioner of Our Lady of Guadalupe. She was a talented quilter who belonged to her church’s quilting club, and she also enjoyed crafting. Marie is fondly remembered for her happy-go-lucky personality, and sweet and easygoing nature. Marie was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Memorial contributions may be made in Marie’s honor to Pedal the Cause, an organization that works to fund cancer research.
