Marilyn Baumann

April 18, 1932 — September 21, 2020

Marilyn Emma Baumann of Saint Charles, MO, passed away Monday, September 21, 2020 at the age of 88. Marilyn was preceded in death by her beloved husband, James Baumann, her parents, Robert and Kathleen Tomsen and her sister Joann Haase.

She is survived by her children, Marilee Roy (Ed Burgdorf), Valerie (Tom) Dunlavy, Michael (Divina) Baumann; her grandchildren, Krista Roy (Josh Bennett), Ben Roy (Michelle Andaya), Jackie (Jeff) Cozzo, Audrey (Ray) Sharma, and Sean Baumann; her great-grandchildren, Clayton Roy, Carter Bennett, Evelyn & Tommy Cozzo, Raymond Sharma, Mimi, Kevin and Maggie McDowell.  She was a dear cousin, teacher, and friend to many.

Marilyn did everything with dedication and passion.  She was greatly admired by all who knew her for the way she lived life to the fullest. She was a successful sport acrobatics and dance business owner for over fifty-six years. Seeing her students grow through their training and practice was an immense source of pride for Marilyn.

In later years, Marilyn was very involved with the Red Hat Society and chapters were established with her help. She became a fan of the St. Louis Cardinals. She was a faithful parishioner of Our Lady of the Presentation Catholic Church and a member of Dance Masters as well.  Marilyn was Momo to her grandchildren and great grandchildren who she loved. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Marilyn donated her body to St. Louis University.
