Marilyn M. Barteau

Marilyn M. Barteau (nee Sladek), Fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church and passed away peacefully the morning of February 9, 2022. Marilyn was the beloved wife of the late Howard L. Barteau for 61 years; a wonderful mother to Jim, Rick, Tammy, and Laura; a kind mother-in-law to Alice (nee Hill), Trudi (nee Kovac), Rick Lueders, and Quentin Stark; a much loved and respected grandma to Jamie (Ally), the late Aimee Barteau, Megan (Paul), Bridgette (Elio), Brittany, Ashley (Skyler), Eric (Amber), Daniel (Sara), Tim (Meghan), Steven (Liz), Kiley, Ben, and Andy. She was a fun-loving and proud “Great” Maw Maw to Patrick, Holli, Maggie, Elio, Gabriel,Blake, Drew, Lily Grace, Silas, Landon, Riley, Tucker, Emerson, Grant, Liam, Nora, and Lucy; sister-in-law, cousin, aunt, great aunt, and friend.

Marilyn was a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary and Past President of the West Overland Ladies Lion’s Club. Marilyn was the 1950 Class Secretary at Pattonville High School the place where she met her high school sweetheart, Howard. Marilyn was co-owner with Howard of the Lakeside Deli in Bridgeton, Missouri, “Home of Marilyn’s Famous Mostaccioli.”

In lieu of flowers, contributions to Ben Barteau Trust Fund which Marilyn helped setup would be welcomed by the family.
