Marilyn was an excellent teacher, had great ideas, and worked very hard. All of the students just loved her. Marilyn was an avid book reader and was involved in book studies. She liked mysteries, drama novels, and civil war stories. She and her book club gals enjoyed trading books with each other and going to the library for more. Marilyn loved to watch TV. Some of her favorite shows were Law & Order, Chicago Fire, and NCIS. She also enjoyed playing games on her computer, such as Words with Friends, and Solitaire. Marilyn liked to travel, and some of her fondest memories were from adventures to Europe, Canada, and her all-time favorite New Orleans. She especially loved going to the “clubhouse” with her friends. In her younger years, she enjoyed camping all around the U.S. with her family. Marilyn was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Memorials may be made in Marilyn's name to Cardinal Glennon Children's Research Hospital.
