Marilyn Wiechens Yust was reunited with her husband and parents on June 6, 2018. Her earthly life began on Dec. 6, 1933 in Saint Charles, Missouri as the youngest of three children born to Joseph and Estelle Wiechens. As often happens with couples who devoted their lives to each other, Marilyn died just four months after the death of the love of her life, Donald Lee Yust, also of St. Charles. She is also predeceased by her parents and siblings Cyril Wiechens and Mardell Christiansen. Marilyn lived most of her life in St. Charles, Missouri, until she and Don relocated to Houston, Texas to be nearer to their eldest son, Mark. Marilyn and Don married on May 24, 1952 and soon grew a family of three strong young boys, Mark, Michael and Brad. Together, they lived a full, active life with lots of adventure and learning. Once the boys were in school, Marilyn pursued her own professional career. She worked for 28 years for McDonnell Douglas in Saint Charles, rising to the rank of one of the first female procurement specialists for the aerospace company. While still working full time, Marilyn returned to school and earned both a bachelor’s degree in business and an MBA at Lindenwood University. Afterward, she served as an adjunct professor for several years at Lindenwood. Marilyn was also a published poet and author.Marilyn is survived by her sons, and their wives, Alice Aanstoos, Fatos Yust and Reggie Yust. Grandchildren include Jared Yust, Cagdas Yust Sorrow, Charlie Yust, Axcel Yust, Celeste Yust and Jack Yust. Two great children are Zehra Sorrow and Michael Sorrow.
Marilyn and Don will be together again after a private ceremony at Oak Grove Cemetery in St. Charles, Missouri.
