Marion A. Bennett
April 29, 1928 — September 26, 2021
Marion Anita Bennett (nee Maul), age 93, made her journey to Heaven on Sunday, September 26, 2021. She was the cherished daughter of Charles and Catherine Maul, with siblings Helen, Eleanor, and Harold who preceded her in death. She was the loving wife of James B. Bennett, Sr., who also preceded her in death. She was the loving Mother of five children, Michael Bruce Bennett, James B. (Susan) Bennett, Jr., Kerry (Marie) Bennett, Sr., Randy (Mary Lou) Bennett, Sr. and Ruth Anne (Michael) Fulhorst. The legacy of her life lives on in her children, her twelve grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren. We are grateful that she was able to share her life with them. She had a special bond with her Sister-in-law Patricia Maul, and with her nieces and nephews who will miss her dearly. Marion had a long, outstanding career of 35 years at McDonnell Douglas, where she met her best friend, Chris Warren, who cherished their friendship. Marion was a lady of all trades, from cooking & baking to repairing and upholstering boat seats; she could do just about anything. She loved sewing and crocheting. Marion enjoyed having Sunday breakfast and vacationing with her family. The family would go camping for two weeks every year in August, as well as go fishing and Angler’s Resort and camping at Truman Lake in their camping trailer. Marion was a devoted Catholic who loved going to Mass and saying the rosary. She loved wildflowers and butter cookies. She enjoyed feeding the birds, they knew they could count on her for a meal. Marion also enjoyed watching baseball, football, and hockey games; especially St. Louis Cardinals and St. Louis Blues games. Marion was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Marion 's name to Wild Bird Rehabilitation. Baue Funeral Homes is currently following CDC recommendations regarding mask and social distancing policies.
