Marjorie Schoene

August 16, 1926 — August 4, 2023

St. Charles, Missouri

Marjorie Schoene, of Saint Charles, Missouri, passed away Friday, August 4, 2023, at the age of 96. Loving wife of the late Orville C. Schoene; beloved daughter of the late Irma and Robert Wilke, Sr.; devoted mother of Catherine Schoene, the late Judith Schoene, and the late Randy Schoene; cherished grandmother of Michelle (Harry) Miller, Mindy (Jim) Chapman, Meghan (Kyle) DeSanctis, and Ethan Schoene; treasured great-grandmother of Tatum Cross, Devin Cross, Grant Chapman, Owen Chapman, and Jenson DeSanctis; dearest sister of Jacqueline (Arlie) Jungermann and the late Robert Wilke, Jr.; dear aunt, great aunt, cousin, and friend to many.

Marjorie was a loving and devoted matriarch to her family. She loved them so dearly and was always there for them. She was an amazing cook and looked forward to creating new dishes for their Wednesday night family dinners, and of course she made sure to have a delicious pie she baked from scratch. She also enjoyed sewing, gardening, and teaching her grandchildren her many talents. Marjorie was very crafty and could do just about anything, including beating all family members in Chinese Checkers!

As a woman of great faith, Marjorie was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and she dedicated much of her time to serving members of the community. She was a member of the Ladie’s Circle and volunteered whenever she could, whether it was with crafts, cooking dinners, or quilting, she was there.

Marjorie liked to stay active throughout her life, and as a registered nurse she volunteered with the Red Cross for many years. She also bowled on a women’s league at St. Charles Lanes. She and her husband enjoyed boating on the Mississippi River with their friends, and they did annual trips to the Lake of the Ozarks.

Majorie will be remembered for her kindness, caring, and sweet nature. She cared so wonderfully for everyone she knew, and to be in her presence was a remarkable feeling. She made everyone feel so special and so loved.

Marjorie was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Memorials may be made in Marjorie's name to Trinity Lutheran Church or School
