Mark Allan Wiegman was born on April 15th, 1965 in Tachikawa, Japan and passed away on November 15th, 2020 at the age of 55 due to complications of Covid-19. Mark fought a long battle in the hospital and went into a medically induced coma on October 21st, 2020.
Growing up in Long Beach, California, Mark lived with his mother, sister, and brother, John, who passed away in 1974. Mark attended David Starr Jordan High School and graduated with the class of 1983. Following the next stage of his life, Mark attended basic training for the United States Air Force. Eventually, Mark worked his way up to Staff Sergeant, which later paved his way to a career at McDonnell Douglas (later bought out by The Boeing Company).
On April 22nd, 1989, Mark married his best friend, Kathy Stuck. They remained happily married until he took his last breath. Together, Mark and Kathy created a beautiful life during their 31 years of marriage. Eventually, they became parents to two children, whom they loved and adored--making absolutely no secret of that fact. The Wiegman family always showed love and support to one-another, and Mark was unfathomably proud of his children. In 1997, Mark and his family moved to St. Louis, Missouri, where Mark continued his career at Boeing.
Music played a large role in Mark’s life, which was shared by his family and close friends. He played guitar and sang with either his beautiful voice, or doing some sort of silly impression to make people laugh. Mark was happiest when he was on his boat with his family, gliding over the lake, remarking how beautiful the sunset was, and pointing out that there will never be another sunset that looks exactly the same. Even in his own city, Mark loved to act like a tourist and spend hours exploring museums and soaking in all of the history--literally, ALL of the history he could. Mark was a social butterfly, a sensitive soul, and an extraordinary friend and family member.
Mark is survived by his wife, Kathleen Wiegman (nee Stuck); his son, Mark Wiegman II; his daughter, Stacie Wiegman; and his niece, Jennifer McKenna in addition to his abundance of friendships and family members who adored him. Mark was preceded in death by his father, Marney Wiegman; his mother, Jeanetta Wiegman (nee Duke); his brother, John Wiegman; and his sister, Beverly McKenna (nee Wiegman).
