On April 12, 2018 Mark Charles Mensendiek, 69, left this life on earth as he was called home by our Savior in Heaven. As Mark would have said, in the twinkling of an eye he was absent from his body and present before our Lord.
Mark is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Suzanne Mensendiek (nee Hayward), their daughters Meredith Mensendiek (fiancé Parker Erickson) and Meg (Kevin) Hesemann and grandchildren, Adeline, Grant and Mackenzie Hesemann. Mackenzie, due to be born this July.
The accomplishments of Mark are great, but his true legacy is his unfailing love and devotion for his family. Though his life's work culminated in the birth and success of his company Capital Stewardship Services there is no doubt Mark would say the only success of this life that matters is that of his children and family knowing and following Christ. Through Mark's never faltering faith and unfailing love for all of us he taught us each day to have never faltering faith and love in Christ, His words and plan for our lives. We are devastated by our loss, can't begin to try and understand why this was the time God chose to call our husband and father away from us. He will be missed each and every day.
Mark was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Martha Mensendiek. He is also survived by Sisters, Elaine (Darryl) Pursley, Hope (George) Hayden; Nephew, Brent (Linda) Phipps and their sons; Niece, Victoria Hayden; Mother-in-law, Vera (the late Bill) Hayward; Sister-in-law, Cathie Hayward; Niece, Mari Hayward; and his beloved pets, Maggie the dog and Sophie the cat.
