Mark Richard Evans Sr, of Hazelwood, MO, passed away Sunday, October 6, 2024, at the age of 68. Cherished son of Berkley Evans and the late William Richard Evans. Devoted father of Mark Richard Evans II, and Dominique (Christopher) Dover; loving grandfather of Rylee Evans, Tyson Evans, Gia Evans, Tristan Ash, Alexandra Dover, Isabella Dover, Savannah Mellinger, Nicholas Dover, and Madelyn Dover; dear brother of Scot (Karen) Evans, Christine Evans, and Clint Evans, as well as the many nieces and nephews he loved so dearly.
Mark proudly worked with the Plumbers and Pipefitters Union Local No. 562 for 45 years and was pleased to have made a very good name for himself within the Union. He enjoyed reading his Sunday newspapers, and loved to search for puzzles that were a real challenge. He was such an extremely intelligent man who could succeed in anything he did. He had a passion for cooking and baking, especially when it came to making jellies, jams, and homemade breads that he loved giving to friends and family. He enjoyed growing vegetables like tomatoes and jalapeños, and took great pride in nurturing every kind of fruit tree. Mark enjoyed going floating and camping with his family and friends when his children were younger that made the best memories. He made long lasting impressions to all and was very involved with his children's sports. He loved watching them swim at their swim meets, and became very involved with their team. He was very proud of how talented his son was in playing ice hockey and football, and never missed a single dance recital of his daughter, Dominique. Mark cherished planning their family reunions each year together with other relatives, he loved barbecuing for the whole family, and making snow cones for the kids. What he loved most of all was the Evans Family Washer Tournament. Mark could be tough at times and wasn't afraid to show his loved ones tough love, and from that, we all grew to be stronger. He had a great bond with his little puppy Max, who misses him daily. Mark was truly loved, will be greatly missed, and never forgotten by all who knew him.
