Mark P. Hudson

Mark Patrick Hudson, of Florissant, MO, passed away Thursday, October 3, 2024 at the age of 78. Beloved husband of Linda Hudson; cherished son of the late William and Marie Hudson; devoted father of Andrea (Mateo) Barragan; loving grandfather of Elena Barragan, Lorenzo Barragan and Emilia Barragan; dear brother of the late Anne Simpson and the late Bill (Diane) Hudson, Jr.; treasured cousin of Martha Bender; loving uncle of eight. 

Mark lived a life full of passion and resilience. After retiring from a successful career, he returned to school to pursue his lifelong dream, earning an associate's degree in culinary arts. His love for cooking shone brightly in his role as a cooking coach at Schnucks, where he inspired others with his culinary skills and infectious enthusiasm.

A dedicated family man, Mark took pride in preparing meals and managing grocery shopping for his loved ones. His home was always filled with the comforting aromas of his latest creations, a testament to his nurturing spirit.

Mark was also a connoisseur of fine wines and took great joy in sharing his knowledge with friends and family. His enthusiasm for life extended beyond the kitchen; he was a true social butterfly who never met a stranger. Mark’s warm demeanor and genuine interest in others meant that everyone he encountered felt like an old friend.

A proud sober member of the recovery community for over 40 years, Mark's journey was one of strength and determination. As a cancer survivor, he faced challenges with a fighter's spirit and an unwavering positivity that inspired those around him.

Mark will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. His legacy of love, laughter, and culinary passion will live on in the hearts of his family and friends. 

Memorials may be made in Mark's name to Urban Sprouts Child Development Center.
