Marla J. Swick

Marla J. Swick (nee Harris), of Taylor Springs, IL, passed away Thursday, October 17, 2024, at the age of 96. Beloved wife of the late Arnold Swick; cherished daughter of the late Everett and Rosa Harris; devoted mother of Gail (Rosetta) Swick, Gary Swick, Terry (Nancy) Swick, and mother-in-law of Anita Swick; loving grandmother of Kimberly Swick, Ronald (Elizabeth) Swick, Alisia (Rob) Moore, Amanda (Kevin) Fuller, Garrett (Alyssa) Swick, Jessica (Jim) Summers, and Jacob (Sara) Swick; treasured great grandmother of 11, including the late Brandi Cheshire; beloved great-great grandmother, aunt and friend to many. Marla was also preceded in death by her dear siblings, her brother, Everett Lee Harris and two sisters, Mildred Louise Harris-Elam, and Rosalein Harris-Switzer.

Marla was married to the love of her life, Arnold, for 67 years. Marla and Arnold were snowbirds and traveled to Texas every year for many years. They enjoyed music festivals especially blue grass, as well as camping, and doing arts and crafts. Her greatest joy was spending time with friends and being with her family. Marla was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
