McNew, Marlin Ray, of St. Louis, MO, died on Monday, December 5, 2016, at the age of 62. Beloved son of the late Rev. Karl J., Sr. and Kathryn M. McNew; devoted father of Amanda "Amy" McNew (Derek) Graber, Josh (Sara) McNew, Ryan (Marie) McNew; cherished grandfather of Ava Daisy Graber, Alice June Graber, Marlin Charles McNew, and Fiona Lin McNew; dear brother of Shirley (The Late Jack) Means, Robert (Ann) McNew, and Roger Allen McNew. He is preceded in death by his siblings, Karl James McNew, Jr., Rhonda Bubulz, and Terry Lynn McNew. He leaves behind many nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, other relatives, and friends.
Marlin was an avid collector and craftsman. He had a skill for improving anything he touched. He enjoyed researching his family history, escaping to the country, and spontaneously taking road trips to surround himself in nature with loved ones. He cherished spending time with his family, found freedom while riding his Harley, and was especially fond of visiting his Aunt Darlene Jackson. Marlin will always be remembered for making the best of everything. His positive energy was the life of any gathering. He will be dearly missed by those who knew him.
