Marshall W. Reed of St. Peters, MO, passed away at the age of 90 on Wednesday, May 1, 2019. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Lillie Reed; his parents, Clate and Gladys Reed; his brother, Wendell Reed; and his sister-in-law Betty Reed
Marshall is survived by his daughters, Marsha Bland and Constance (Larry) Jones; his grandchildren, Melanie L. (Charles) Mills, Ruth A. (Dan) Lasater, and Jeffrey Jones; his great-grandchildren, Zachary, Steven, James, Isabella, Sophia, Elizabeth, and Nathaniel; and his sisters, Cleta Looney and Shirley “Sue” Ripple.
Marshall served in the United States Army as both a paratrooper and an MP. He was a proud graduate of Lyon College and belonged to a number of organizations such as the VFW Post #4528, in Jerseyville, IL, the American Legion, the Masonic Lodge Mount Zion Lodge #10 F&AM in Batesville, AR, and he was a lifetime member of the NRA. After retiring from his career at McDonnel Douglas, Marshall enjoyed keeping up with his hobbies and projects. He liked to collect clocks, built his own sound system, and was a car enthusiast with a special passion for Mustangs, Cadillacs, and motorcycles. Friends and family will remember Marshall as an honest, loyal, and caring man who always provided for his family. Memories of Marshall will always be cherished, and he will forever be missed by his family.
