Martha Borders

Memorials may be made to the Alzheimers Association. Borders, Martha, of St. Charles, Missouri, died on Friday, June 19, 2009, at the age of 88. Dearest wife of the late Floyd Borders, Jr.; dear daughter of the late Benjamin F. and the late Anna K. Phillips; loving mother of Floyd W. Borders, III, and Donald (Nancy) Borders-Wing; treasured grandmother of Heath (Katie) Borders, Chad Borders-Wing, and Todd Borders-Wing; cherished great-grandmother of Benjamin Borders; dear sister of Betty Busacca, Annette Bugnone, Jean Conrad, Linda Foster, Ben, Dale, and Robert Phillips; dear aunt, great-aunt, sister-in-law, and friend to many. She is preceded in death by her sisters, Marjorie Phillips and Katherine Palmer. Martha graduated from Beth Israel Medical Center Nursing School in New York City with an RN degree. She was a Case Worker for the Suburban Cook County Tuberculosis Sanitarium District. She volunteered for the Red Cross and was a member of the Order of Easter Star for 50 years and First Presbyterian Church of Valparaiso.
