Martha Emily Hippler
April 25, 1927 — August 1, 2020
Martha Emily Hippler (nee Read), of St. Charles, MO, passed away Saturday, August 1, 2020 at the age of 93. Loving wife of 71 years to the late Milton Hippler; beloved daughter of the late Clark and Laura Read; devoted mother of Judy (David) Kuenzel and Doug (Susan) Hippler; cherished grandmother of Laura (Brian) Coco, Rebecca (Byron) Worthen, Beth (Jeff) Gangloff, Anne (Brian Smith) Bearden, Lauren Bearden and Matthew Hippler; treasured great-grandmother of Luke Coco, Daniel Coco, Bradley Worthen, Haley Worthen, Alyssa Worthen, Megan Worthen, Caileigh Gangloff, Nicholas Gangloff, Elle Gangloff, Clayton Bearden, Madeline Smith and Cecilia Smith; aunt, cousin and friend to many. Martha is preceded in death by her brothers, Clark Read and James Read; and sisters, Zola Goodman, Edith Wagner, and Meda DuRocher.
Martha was a devoted member of Zion Lutheran Church. She was a woman of great faith which she instilled in her family. Martha was a loving and caring woman who was a supportive wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She cherished every moment she spent with her family as they were the most important aspect of her life. Martha was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
The family would like a special thank you for Martha's oncologist, Shaun Donegan and his staff at Mercy South for their unending support and care.
Psalm 46:10 Be still and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.
Memorials may be made in Martha's name to Zion Lutheran Church or St. Louis Area Food Bank.
The burial will be private. A reception will be scheduled at a later date.
