Martha "Marty" Ott

Martha “Marty” Ott (nee Bennett), of Chesterfield, MO, passed away Monday, February 24, 2025, at the age of 79. Beloved wife of the late Glennon Ott; cherished daughter of the late William Kelly and Dorothy Bennett. Dear sister of Sandra (Larry) Whitener, Connie (Ray-dec) Galante, and Rocky Bennett; loving aunt of Brad (Diana) Luetkemeyer, Andrea Whitener, Rodney (Kathy) Whitener, Phillip (Thea) Galante, Lance Bennett, Greg Aubuchon, Dennis (Angie) Aubuchon, and Jennifer (Josh) Yerton; sister-in-law of Eunice (Paul- dec) Aubuchon. Preceded in death by her sister, Patricia Bennett and sister-in-law Shirley (John-survives) Luetkemeyer.

Marty and her husband shared 50 wonderful years together, enjoying hiking, camping, biking, traveling, and especially their trips to Colorado. They loved listening to music and simply being in each other’s company. Marty dedicated 30 years to teaching, retiring as a second-grade teacher from the Pattonville School District. A private and independent woman, she was deeply passionate about social causes. She was an active and dedicated 50-year member of Sigma Sigma Sigma sorority, ran for state representative, and held leadership positions in educational, political, and women’s organizations. Additionally, she contributed to numerous community service projects, always striving to make a difference. Marty was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
