Marvin E. Stickrod

Marvin E. Stickrod, of St. Charles, Missouri, died on Sunday, December 1, 2013 at the age of 94. Loving husband of the late Lois Stickrod; dear son of the late Bert and Ida Stickrod; devoted father of Linda (Wayne) Samland and John (Linda) Stickrod; cherished grandfather of Laura Swanson, Jeff Stickrod, Ellen Samland, Polly Samland, and Wiley Samland; beloved great-grandfather of Tanner Swanson, Rosemary Gonella, and Leo Gonella. He is preceded in death by his brothers B.E. Stickrod and Norman Stickrod.
Marvin proudly served in the United States Army during WWII. He graduated from the University of Missouri in 1943. He was employed at Union Electric for over 28 years. Marvin was a member of the First United Methodist Church and Warren County Extension Agent.
Marvin was a big Cardinals fan and also enjoyed hunting and fishing in his spare time. His greatest enjoyment in life was spending time with his family. He was deeply loved and will be missed.
