Marvin James Mantei

Marvin James Mantei, of Saint Charles, MO, passed away Saturday, February 22, 2020 at the age of 84. Loving husband of the late Sue Mantei; beloved son of the late Fred and Hazel Mantei; Devoted father of Gary (Mary Beth) Mantei, Marty Mantei, and Gretchen (Bill) Kagley; cherished grandfather of Daniel Mantei, Nicole Mantei, Tyler Kagley, Ryan Kagley, Alexis Kagley, adopted father, grandfather and godfather to Bill and Lyn LaMothe and their family. Marvin is also preceded in death by his grandson, Zachary James Mantei; and brother, Bob Mantei.

Marvin proudly served his country in the United States Marines for 8 years. He worked as a photoengraver with Post-Dispatch and was a past president of GAIU Local 505. Marvin was also a Graphic Arts Salesman, and Department Manager at the State Journal Register. He was a member of Chapel of the Cross church in St. Peters, Missouri. Marvin loved the Lord, loved life, and had a great sense of humor.  He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
