 Marvin Robert Mallinckrodt, of Saint Charles, MO, passed away Monday, April 1, 2024 at the age of 89. Loving husband of the late Mildred Meta (nee Hackmann) Mallinckrodt; beloved son of the late Theodore, Jr. and Hilda Mallinckrodt; devoted father of Sandra Kay Leezy and Sara Lynn (Matthew Joseph) Vollmar; cherished grandfather of Isabella Rose Vollmar, Jackson William Vollmar, and Addyson Meta Vollmarloving uncle to many nieces and nephews. Marvin is preceded in death by his siblings, Raymond (Alma) Mallinckrodt, Edwin (Elsie) Mallinckrodt, Alfred Mallinckrodt, Walter (Alma) Mallinckrodt, Carl Mallinckrodt, Lydia (Harry) Nadler, Elsie (Waldo) Hemsath, Edna (Walter) Nadler, Oscar (Grace) Mallinckrodt, Robert (Audrey) Mallinckrodt, Herbert (Betty, survives) Mallinckrodt, William (Delores, survives) Mallinckrodt, Theodore (Leona) Mallinckrodt, Leslie (Dorothy) Mallinckrodt, and several nieces and nephews. 

 

Marvin proudly served his country in the Army for 2 years while based in Korea where he worked as a chef. He was a longtime member of Friedens United Church of Christ and was an active member of the community. Alongside his beloved wife, Mildred, they cherished 41 years of loving marriage. A masterful storyteller, Marvin found joy in recounting his life's adventures. He found solace in watching the Cardinals play and treasured moments with his daughters, son-in-law, and grandchildren. Marvin had a fondness for country music and Charley Pride was one of his favorites. Marvin was an active member of Meat Cutters Union Local 88 and dedicated over three decades to Hedges & Hafer as a skilled meat cutter. He worked on his family’s farm and later nurtured and raised chickens, geese, quail, and ducks. As the youngest of 15 siblings, Marvin cherished family gatherings, particularly at Femme Osage and the Lake of the Ozarks. He delighted in supporting his grandchildren's endeavors, attending every extracurricular activity with unwavering enthusiasm. 

 

Through his passing he was able to donate tissue to help others. 

 

Marvin was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He will love you always.  

Memorials may be made in Marvin 's name to Friedens United Church of Christ and Mid-America Transplant.
