Mary Lee Allen

Mary Lee Allen was born the daughter of Robert Lee and Verdie Mae Mills on May 31, 1942.  She arrived at her heavenly home on April 22, 2023.

Mary was the loving big sister to Carol Sue (Ed) Barnett and Debbie (Jeff) Mohr. She was a “sister” and lifelong best friend to Barbara Pierce Stafford.

She married the love of her life, Glen Dale Allen, on March 4, 1961.  After 59 years of marriage, Dale entered heaven. They are finally together again, celebrating Mary’s homecoming and rejoicing in the very presence of the God they loved and served. 

Her legacy of faith continues through her children Jack (Meloney) Allen, Todd (Lisa) Allen, Delisa (Burt) Nuzum and her grandchildren and great grandchildren, Jacob (Kayla), Lillian, McKenna, Nakoda, Joseph, Shiloh, Amber (Nick), Emma, Jeremiah, Becky (Kenneth), Wyatt, McKenna, Tasha (Nate), Theo, Asher and Tiara (Joey).

Mary was a powerful, praying woman of faith.  She knew that the best way to love and serve others was praying for them. As a prayer partner, she would stand with you, confident that God would answer in His perfect way and perfect time.  She would remind others of the faithfulness of her God even during the difficult times. She was not afraid to pray and believe when circumstances seemed impossible.  Her family is proof that those prayers were heard and answered and that with God, all things are possible. 

She had a heart for worship. Even when her body was weak, her spirit was strong and she would raise her hands in thankfulness and worship to her God.

Mary’s greatest accomplishment in this life was to pass down a heritage of faith and trust in God to her children and grandchildren and generations to come.

Psalm 91:4

He will cover you with His feathers, and under His wings you will find refuge; His faithfulness will be your shield and buckler.

Psalm 91:14-16

Because he loves me, says the Lord, I will rescue him; I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name. He will call on me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him. With long life I will satisfy him and show him my salvation.
